The Emergency Department PT role is crucial for assessing care appropriateness, consulting with healthcare professionals, and delivering direct patient care. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs. Beyond core therapy services, we offer a variety of specialty programs including neurological rehabilitation, vestibular and balance therapy, lymphedema management, pelvic health therapy, and oncology rehabilitation. • What makes this role different? Youll bring physical therapy directly into the Emergency Department, providing early assessment and intervention to help determine the safest and most appropriate plan of care. Youll work closely with the ED and interdisciplinary team while treating a diverse range of acute and chronic conditions.
• How many patients will I see each day? Patient caseloads vary based on ED volume, patient complexity, and individual treatment needs. Our focus is on providing timely, high-quality care while allowing clinicians to complete thorough assessments and provide individualized recommendations.
• What patient populations will I work with? Youll work with patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Department with a variety of acute and chronic conditions affecting mobility and function, including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular/pulmonary, and other functional impairments. Youll help patients improve mobility and safety while supporting appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care.
