Step into a rewarding role as a dedicated Special Education Teacher serving young learners in a K-3rd social communication classroom. This is a full-time contract position where your expertise will make a lasting difference for students with unique learning needs. The assignment runs from now through June 4, 2027, offering the opportunity to build strong relationships and contribute actively to student growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience
- New Mexico teaching license and NMPED certification required
- Previous experience in special education preferred, especially with K-3rd grade
- Skilled in differentiated instruction and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
- Experience supporting students with social communication needs is a strong plus
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Deliver creative instruction tailored to students' diverse learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture while supporting social skill development
- Collaborate with related service providers, teachers, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP meetings and staff collaborations as needed
