Regional Sales Director - Department of Defense & Intelligence Community

Overview Job Title: Regional Sales Director - Department of Defense & Intelligence Community Role Overview: A senior voice in the Americas leadership. The Regional Sales Director, Department of Defense & Intelligence Community role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. This position owns the sales strategy for the IC region with some DoD accounts and manages the sales team to meet revenue growth goals. Candidates must be located in the Reston, VA area. Responsibilities Oversee the hiring, development, and management of a sales team. Responsible for weekly sales forecasting of sales team performance. Drive and innovate the development of sales strategies with the team. Work closely with the team to develop and execute pipeline generation. Develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies for customer success. Manage the overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales pipeline management. Develop pricing policies, including volume discounts, terms, and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners. Work collaboratively across BU’s to create a result driven, team-oriented environment. Develop and negotiate software and/or services sales contracts while integrating contract requirements with business outcome objectives. Develop relationships with key influencers and stakeholders both internally and externally. Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience; 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience; security software is highly preferred. 5+ years of experience in a people management capacity. A highly consultative sales background with excellent communication skills. Experience and credibility selling to the C-level of the DoD & IC. Proven track record of closing seven-figure transactions. Ability to build strong and continuous partner relationships. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. Strong work ethic and ability to travel for customer meetings. US citizenship and possession of a US security clearance. Location: Reston, VA area. Compensation The position is paid (in part) on a commission basis. Base Pay Range: $175,000 - $275,000. On Target Earnings (OTE) Range: $400,000 – $500,000 (base pay plus on target commission). Actual base pay and actual OTE depend on location, qualifications, company budget, and other operational needs. Compensation may include long-term incentives, subject to metrics and policy.
