Senior Business Analyst/Data Developer

Location: Boston, MA Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly Description:
Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Data Analytics & Healthcare Data Requirements Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives and data platform modernization efforts. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, architects, developers, and project leadership to gather requirements, analyze data, define solutions, and ensure successful delivery of data-driven business outcomes.

The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in data analysis, healthcare data, business requirements gathering, data warehousing, and business intelligence platforms . This individual will serve as the bridge between business and technical teams, translating complex business needs into scalable and actionable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Business & Requirements Analysis

• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and technical requirements for data platform initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to understand business objectives and user needs.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical requirements and actionable solutions.
• Perform gap analysis, feasibility assessments, and process improvement evaluations.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including requirements, use cases, process flows, and solution specifications.

Data Analysis & Solution Design

• Conduct complex data analysis, validation, and profiling activities.
• Identify trends, patterns, and data quality issues to support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement enterprise data and reporting solutions.
• Support the development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Participate in solution reviews and data platform implementation activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Serve as a liaison between business users, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
• Present analysis findings, recommendations, and solution options to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate requirement review sessions and obtain stakeholder feedback throughout project lifecycles.
• Communicate project milestones, dependencies, risks, and timelines effectively.

Project Support & Governance

• Contribute to project planning activities and support established project management methodologies.
• Assist with prioritization, delivery planning, and requirements traceability.
• Support data governance, privacy, and compliance initiatives.
• Ensure solutions align with organizational standards, policies, and best practices.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Develop documentation and user guidance materials.
• Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and end-user training.
• Mentor team members and share subject matter expertise across functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• Experience defining, documenting, reviewing, and maintaining end-to-end data platform requirements.
• Strong expertise in requirements gathering, business analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Experience working with sensitive healthcare data and understanding of HIPAA and data privacy requirements.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data warehousing concepts and solutions.
• Advanced data analysis and data profiling experience.
• Excellent SQL querying and data validation skills.
• Experience translating business needs into data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.
• Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to executive, business, and technical stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry experience.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and analytics environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Experience with Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Experience developing or supporting reports and dashboards using Tableau , Cognos , or similar BI tools.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance and data quality practices.
