This role is responsible for leading end-to-end sourcing activities, with a focus on procurement, contract negotiation, vendor management, and spend analysis. The ideal candidate will develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals, drive cost savings, and minimize risk. You'll lead RFx processes, analyze spend data, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions meet operational and budgetary needs.Job SummaryThe Sourcing Specialist is responsible for handling the organization's end-to-end sourcing operations by implementing sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage assigned commodities. Responsibilities include the ability to appraise and improve organization sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, supply partnerships and identifying new opportunities to improve cost savings.Sourcing Strategy and DevelopmentDevelop sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals/objectives, budget targets and operational requirements to minimize riskPerform data collection and conduct spend analysis at various levels to identify opportunitiesConduct market research to identify new technologies and supplier trendsComplete robust spend analytics to mine opportunitiesCraft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal termsSourcing ManagementManage RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) processes and lead sourcing eventsNegotiate contracts that support sourcing strategiesDevelop contract terms and conditions that minimize risksDevelop and route the contract cover sheetIdentify and vet preferred supplier capabilities and financial stabilityDetermine optimal supplier selection methodsManage cross-organizational activities with suppliersCustomer Relationship ManagementDevelop strong relationships with end-users through consistent meetingsGather spend requirements to support business operationsAct as internal consultant, facilitator, and problem solverSupplier Relationship ManagementUnderstand supplier business and future technology developmentsGather performance data to inform future sourcing eventsProfessional DevelopmentDevelop annual individual development plan to gain additional knowledge in healthcare industry and procurement functions.Required Skills & ExperienceFour (4) to seven (7) years of sourcing experienceDemonstrated project management skillsExperience negotiating contractsAbility to lead sourcing events and build relationshipsExperience leading meetings with suppliers and customersPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience in healthcare sourcing
