Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management

Develop and execute sourcing strategy for the assigned mechanical commodity with the global commodity leader Focus on variable cost productivity, cash flow, and financial controllership goals Lead end-to-end supplier management, including selection, qualification, development, and the full contract lifecycle from RFP to supplier exit Negotiate contracts and drive cost reduction by identifying savings opportunities and implementing sustainable cost controls Collaborate with Finance to validate cost-reduction impact on the general ledger Build technical and market expertise in the commodity area Monitor global supply market trends, regional capacity dynamics, and supplier capabilities Collaborate with engineering, Supplier Quality Engineers, fulfillment, logistics, and project teams Ensure suppliers are selected on time and equipment meets project requirements Optimize procurement processes and align with global sourcing initiatives Improve the experience for internal customers and drive continuous improvement Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in a sourcing, operations, or supply chain role Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in sourcing, sales, operations, engineering, and/or supply chain Prior sourcing experience in the energy, power generation, or industrial manufacturing sector preferred Strong data analysis capabilities preferred Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering results in a matrixed environment preferred Strong experience working with logistics and commercial teams to manage regional capacity and localization requirements preferred Proficiency in ERP systems; SAP preferred Fluency in English Legally authorized to work in the United States Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in sourcing strategy development, supplier management, and cost reduction within the mechanical commodity sector.
