The Good Shepherd, a trusted dog boarding and daycare facility in Midland, TX, is looking for dependable, hardworking, and dog-loving individuals to join our team as a Dog Care Specialist . What You'll Be Doing

As a Dog Care Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, happiness, and well-being of the dogs in our care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and safely interacting with dogs in daycare and boarding settings.
• Monitoring dog behavior to maintain safe and fun playgroups.
• Feeding, watering, and administering medications as instructed.
• Cleaning kennels, play yards, and common areas throughout the day.
• Assisting with bathing dogs as needed.
• Helping with check-ins, check-outs, and greeting clients.
• Following all safety, cleaning, and animal handling procedures.
• Collaborating with a team to ensure every dog receives excellent care.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking someone who genuinely loves dogs and is committed to providing them with the best care possible. To thrive in this role, you should have:

• At least 1 year of professional experience working with dogs in daycare, boarding, training, veterinary, grooming, shelter, or similar environments.
• Comfort handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• A dependable and punctual work ethic with the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active throughout your shift.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and split shifts (7:00 AM–10:00 AM and 3:00 PM–6:00 PM).
