Bullpen Bar & Grill (WellBorn) -Management Job Title: Restaurant Manager - Fast Casual BBQ Department: Operations / Food & Beverage Reports To: Owner / General Manager / Director of Operations Location: Atlanta, GA Position Summary The Restaurant Manager oversees the daily operations of a fast-casual BBQ restaurant, ensuring excellent guest service, consistent food quality, and smooth team performance. This position manages front- and back-of-house operations, leads staff, maintains cost controls, and ensures compliance with company standards and health regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who loves great barbecue, understands fast‑paced service, and thrives on creating a friendly, community‑centered dining experience. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and shift supervision. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation align with the restaurant’s BBQ brand standards. Monitor order accuracy, speed of service, and cleanliness across all areas of the restaurant. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality meats, ingredients, and supplies. Guest Experience Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects Southern‑style hospitality and BBQ culture. Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly. Ensure the dining area, service line, and takeout operations run efficiently during peak hours. Lead by example with visible floor presence and hands‑on support for staff and guests. Recruit, train, and supervise team members, including cooks, pitmasters, cashiers, and service staff. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive, inclusive work environment. Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing training on service, safety, and food standards. Develop staff for future leadership opportunities within the company. Manage labor, food, and operational costs to achieve profit targets. Review daily sales and labor reports to optimize performance. Oversee inventory, ordering, and waste control processes. Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation of daily sales. Marketing & Community Engagement Work with ownership or marketing teams to plan promotions, seasonal menu specials, and community events. Represent the restaurant at local festivals, charity events, and partnerships to strengthen brand presence. Encourage repeat business through excellent service and guest relationship management. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business preferred. Minimum 2-4 years of restaurant management experience (fast‑casual or BBQ concept preferred). Strong knowledge of BBQ preparation methods, smoking techniques, and comfort food menus is a plus. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proven experience in cost control, labor management, and inventory tracking. Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency with POS systems and restaurant management software. ServSafe or food safety certification preferred. Working Conditions Full-time position; must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fast‑paced, high‑energy environment with exposure to heat and smoke.
