School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Spanaway, Washington

Make a meaningful difference in students lives as a Registered Nurse at a single school site for the upcoming academic year. This vital onsite contract position allows you to work closely with school staff, families, and students, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment. Youll be responsible for supporting a diverse caseload, including children with complex medical needssuch as medication administration, diabetic management, and providing care for epilepsy allowing every student the opportunity to fully participate in their education. Qualifications: Active RN license valid for Washington Previous experience as a school nurse or working with children preferred Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Current CPR certification Key Responsibilities: Administer medication and monitor students with chronic health conditions Deliver diabetic care, including monitoring glucose and administering insulin when necessary Provide support for students with epilepsy, including emergency intervention Maintain accurate health records and communicate health needs to educators and families Participate in health planning and emergency response for the campus Promote a culture of wellness and safety for students and staff Whats Offered: Competitive weekly pay Health, dental, and vision insurance options 401k retirement plan Meaningful, student-centered work from August 19th through June 4th, with a full-time schedule (35 hours per week) Compensation for this position ranges from $38.00 to $57.00.
