Senior Director, Strategic Planning

Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end strategic planning and media planning for key client(s) ensuring seamless integration across offline & online media channels, including upper, mid, and lower funnel. Develop rigorously grounded full‑funnel media plans that reflect client business strategies and deliver on brand and performance goals. Educate and translate media fundamentals, such as audience architecture, media math, reach curves, and investment allocation logic, to client practitioners and VP+ executives. Partner with communications planners to ensure strategic alignment across audience, messages, and channels. Create and templatize core outputs of Tinuiti’s planning tool suite. Oversee training curriculum on uncovering consumer insights and translating them into solutions that address client challenges. Contribute to Tinuiti’s solution capabilities and help achieve agency ROCK goals. Evaluate and roadmap the development of planning tool partners. Lead consultancy opportunities focused on media mix and audience development. Craft concise stories that engage, inspire, and motivate clients and internal teams. Build trust as a trusted advisor, partnering with client POCs and VP+ stakeholders to steward media strategies. Identify media‑driven growth opportunities to increase client revenue growth. Instill a “break‑it” approach to strategy and develop new case studies for brands and the agency. Qualifications 12+ years of media strategy and planning experience. Omnichannel media planning across the marketing funnel. Experience working with major retail, eCommerce, or CPG brands. Strong POV of industry planning, insights, and competitive tools. Expert knowledge of the media landscape and planning & research tools such as Kantar, SimilarWeb, Pathmatics, MRI, and e‑Marketer. Proven ability to build relationships with clients and become a trusted advisor. Strong written, oral, and executive‑level presentation skills, including VP+ storytelling. Ability to travel to onsite meetings 1–2 times per month at most. Data‑driven mindset with ability to review results and inform strategic optimization. Leadership skills, including project and allocation management, career pathing, feedback, and quality control. Resourcefulness and proactive thinking to research, find, and deliver actionable insights. Salary & Benefits Annual base salary range: $150,000 – $165,000 plus performance bonus up to 10%.
