Maintenance Mechanic

Our customer in Woodstock, Illinois, is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. We’re recruiting Maintenance Mechanics to work full-time on 2nd shift. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production machinery, conveyors, motors, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, adjust, and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Fabricate and install repair parts as needed.
• Complete routine maintenance on equipment, wiring, and control systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues between shifts.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Support production goals by responding to equipment breakdowns and performing additional duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to workplace safety and promptly report hazards, injuries, or near-miss incidents.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with motors, control systems, and preventive maintenance.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to pass a background check, physical, and drug screen.

Pay for Maintenance Mechanic: Starting at $28/hour.
