POSITION SUMMARY

The School Based Health Care (SBHC) Project Coordinator will work directly with Haysville High School to implement a universal primary prevention program utilizing Dialectical Behavioral skills training, which includes evidence-based skills for developing mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. The coordinator will work directly with students, staff, and administration to implement this program, including consideration of staff support and sustainability. The coordinator will receive supervision and support from the KU SBHC psychology team. 

The Project coordinator will work 4 hours per week on a flexible schedule, with at least half of the hours being while school is in session during times requested by HHS administration.

Essential Functions Statement(s) 

• Working with SBHC team to plan and coordinate and evaluate program activities.
• Leading classroom educational activities with HHS students and support activities with HHS staff
• Participate in training and supervision to implement programs with fidelity.
• Participate in development and implementation of quarterly in-service trainings for HHS staff 
• Compliance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines and procedures
• Maintains effective communication with school district and SBHC staff and supervisors
• Reliable Attendance and Punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Education:  Master’s degree in a mental health related field preferred 

Experience:  Experience with adolescents and working in schools preferred
