Hospitalist Physician

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Neuro Hospitalist in Loveland, Colorado

We are seeking a Locum Neuro Hospitalist to join a dedicated team in a full-service medical facility located in the picturesque city of Loveland, Colorado. This facility is equipped with comprehensive hospital staffing, including a primary stroke center and robust imaging services. The practice focuses on adult patients in an inpatient setting, providing an opportunity for physicians to engage in meaningful and impactful work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient care with 24-hour shifts, covering both telestroke and night call duties.
• Manage 12-15 total shifts per month.
• Consult on 100% adult patients, averaging 15 patients per day.
• Work collaboratively with a team of 5 physicians and utilize full hospital staffing, including a stroke team.
• Engage in consultative services, primarily during coverage with no supervising or teaching requirements.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient records and documentation.
• Coordinate with other hospitals for patient transfers as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Neurology (Required).
• Active Colorado medical license (Highly Preferred) or IMLC with LOQ.
• Experience in stroke telemedicine (telestroke) (Required).
• Availability for both day and night shifts (Required).
• Clean malpractice and background history (Required).
• BLS certification (Required prior to starting).
• COVID-19 vaccination (Required).
• Must upload Self-Query NPDB conducted within the month (Required).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid and active medical license in Colorado or ability to obtain.
• BLS certification.
• Board Certification in Neurology.
