Athletic Director - Part Time

Position Summary

The Athletic Director provides leadership, supervision, coordination, and administration of the District's interscholastic athletic programs. The Athletic Director ensures that all athletic programs operate in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Illinois High School Association (IHSA), Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA), Board of Education policies, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and all federal and state laws while promoting academic achievement, sportsmanship, student safety, and equitable participation

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.

Master's Degree preferred.

Licensure

One of the following is preferred (or required if established by the Board):

Professional Educator License (PEL) with administrative endorsement
Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) or Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA)
Illinois Administrative endorsement preferred

Experience

Minimum three (3) years of successful coaching and/or athletic administration experience.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with budgeting and athletic program management preferred.
