Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Unit

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Mother Baby Unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to mothers and their newborns in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess the health and well-being of mother and baby, including administering medications as needed.
Provide education to new parents regarding infant care and maternal health.
Coordinate care and support services for patients and their families.
Perform various procedures such as newborn circumcisions.
Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must possess a valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
BLS and NRP certifications required.
Previous experience in Mother Baby care is mandatory.
Experience caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery and STABLE certification preferred.
