Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Virginia
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Shifts are available from 09:30 to 22:00, with options for 9 or 12 hour shifts. Expect to be on call 1-2 times a week, including 1 call weekend per month and 2 call holidays per year.
Job Description: The PACU unit is a 15-bed facility where registered nurses provide care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. Our nursing team requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing, particularly in ICU or ER settings.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patient recovery following surgery.
- Administer medications, including critical drips.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as bedside monitors and ventilators.
- Perform bedside manipulations and ECT procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN licensure.
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
- 1-2 years of experience in ICU or ER preferred.
- One year of nursing experience on the floor.
- Ventilator experience preferred.
