Student Success and Intervention Administrator

Position Title: Student Success and Intervention Administrator (Title I position funded through Title I, Part A. The SSI Administrator focuses on improving outcomes for identified students through targeted supports, data-driven intervention, and removal of barriers to learning.)

Supervisor: High School Principal

Primary Purpose


Provides leadership for systems that improve academic outcomes for identified Title I and at-risk secondary students. Focuses on increasing attendance, strengthening student engagement, supporting positive behavior connected to academic success, and preventing course failure and dropout. Ensures implementation of intervention supports, virtual learning options, and compliance processes that remove barriers to learning and align with campus and district improvement goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Success and Intervention for 6-12
• Lead and coordinate targeted intervention systems for at risk students in grades 9-12
• Monitor attendance, academic progress, and behavior data to ensure timely and effective student supports - 6-12
• Collaborate with principals, counselors, teachers, and intervention teams to implement student success plans aligned to campus goals

Attendance and Truancy 6th -12th grade

• Implement proactive strategies to improve student attendance and reduce chronic absenteeism
• Monitor attendance data and coordinate truancy prevention efforts in alignment with Texas law
• Partner with families to address barriers and re-engage students in school
• Student Engagement and Behavior
• Support implementation of positive behavior systems that protect instructional time and promote academic success
• Assist campus teams in developing and monitoring individualized student support plans
• Promote student belonging and engagement as key drivers of achievement

Virtual Program Administrator Oversight 6-12th grade

• Coordinate and monitor virtual and blended learning options for secondary students
• Track student participation, progress, and course completion
• Ensure alignment of virtual programming with graduation pathways and student success plans

At Risk Student Support and Dropout Prevention 9th - 12th grade

• Identify and monitor students at risk of academic failure or dropout
• Coordinate supports such as credit recovery, alternative pathways, and re-engagement strategies
• Work with campus teams to ensure students remain on track for graduation
• Attend District MTSS and engage with campus/grade MTSS, 6th-8th, when needed.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of required documentation related to DAEP placements of At-Risk students - 6th - 12th.
• Support campus administrators in maintaining compliance with Texas Education Code and district policy - 9th - 12th.
• Maintain records aligned with Title I requirements and audit expectations.

Family Engagement

• Build partnerships with families to support student attendance, engagement, and academic success
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding interventions, progress, and available supports through District Newsletter and District Family Nights.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational leadership or related field
• Valid Texas principal or mid-management certification
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
• Minimum of two years of principal experience
• Experience supporting at-risk students preferred
