Our client is looking for a qualified Desktop Support Technician to support the team onsite in Arkansas City, KS. This technician will work as part of a rotating on call schedule. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity. The hours for this role are 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM CST.Duties and Responsibilities:Repair, test, image and clean PC's, laptop, monitors, printers, and other related hardwareMaintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals. Ability to set up, configure, and add all hardwarePerform install, move, add, and change. Large IMAC events expected for client printer migration and PC refreshesEnsure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attentionBe able to account for work using visual task board, Service-now Ticket System, and during regular team stand up meetingsComfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in-person at the customer's siteBack up and burn end user dataAssist in developing and documenting improvements to current processesAssist other coworkers in resolution of end users' technical issues across the programAssist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalationsAssist with installations, configurations, upgrades, patch, and other maintenance actives of server equipmentPerform backup, recovery, and security procedures both planned or during emergencyFollow established procedures to detect, diagnose, and accurately report outage of critical site applicationsAssist with diagnoses of network hardware and performance problemsPerform approved installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical networkPerform network system administration task both planned or during emergencyDiagnose shop floor pc deploymentSkills and Qualifications:Must possess solid desktop fundamentals with experience in PowerShell, Intune, and system administrationExperience with asset managementDemonstrate high energy given fast paced environmentWorking experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office365, Win10 Professional, imaging, and ticketing systems. Having experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plus)Use a Confident, Positive Attitude to deliver great customer experience and to be invigorated by constant personal interactionDeep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing PC/laptop hardware internal components (motherboard, hard drives, RAM, CPU), and understanding of troubleshooting PC software (Windows blue-screen, Outlook, connect network printers) as wellGet work done independently; dependable availability to work scheduled hoursAbility to handle multiple projectsExperience working in an enterprise environmentAbility to work with strong personalitiesTrusted to work proactively given limited site IT LeadershipWage Range: The rate for this position is between $19.50 - $26.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
