Surgical Services Sterile Processing Technician

This is a day contract position for a Surgical Services Sterile Processing Technician. The role involves working in a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center, with a focus on processing and sterilizing surgical instruments in accordance with hygiene and safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all surgical tools are properly cleaned, disinfected, and stored, adhering to strict protocols for patient safety and care.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of sterile processing areas
• Document sterilization processes and results accurately
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
• Organize and prepare surgical trays according to procedures

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing
• Experience with automated endoscope reprocessors (AER) and high-level disinfection (HLD)
• Certifications in CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or equivalent
• Valid license in allied health (specific requirements may vary)

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of Day 5x8-Hour shifts from 08:00 to 16:30 on weekdays, with every third weekend from 06:00 to 14:30.
