Job Duties

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, including conducting physical exams and reviewing detailed medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through careful analysis of imaging studies and lab results
• Work in tandem with surgeons to develop individualized surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide essential support in the operating room, including preparing surgical environments and ensuring proper patient positioning
• Offer excellent pre- and post-operative care, which entails medication administration, wound management, patient education, and discharge planning

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Preferably completed clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgical practice

Certifications Required

• Current, unrestricted PA-C certification
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is mandatory
• Must have state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
