About the Position

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients and up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs - block scheduling is not available
• No floating outside of the ED, but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED
• Utilize Baxter pumps and GE monitors as primary equipment
• Document using Cerner electronic health records system
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Preferred experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high volume ED with more than 100,000 visits
• Teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give feedback in real time required
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Must adhere to AIDET patient experience standards, respectful behavior practices, and keep patient boards updated with information throughout each visit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS prior to start date; ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage; unit clerks available on days and nights
