Patient Services Coordinator - Flex

Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Patient Services Coordinator who will float between our Hugo, Chisago, North Branch, and Lakes Medical Center locations. This position is approved for 56 hours every two weeks (0.7 FTE). The anticipated schedule includes Wednesdays off, with shifts scheduled based on clinic needs between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Patient Services Coordinator performs a variety of clerical functions to support the provider and patient care staff. The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible to ensure patient medical records and reports are available as needed and prepares applicable medical record forms. Relays messages to and from physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other resources necessary for patient care. Responsibilities Coordinate’s activities of care team to support provider and patient care staff. Performs telephone message taking and directs communication in a timely fashion. Requests/obtains patient reports as necessary. Effectively uses communication systems for both routine and emergency transactions. Coordinates communication between care team and outside resources. Enters refills. Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served. Knowledge & Skill Expectations Customer service skills and Standards Interpreter and special need services Operation of office equipment and computer programs.
