Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU Float Pool position requiring a CT or compact RN license and floating between multiple ICU specialties and step-down units.

Job Details

• , Trained to float multIC specialties across two campuses located two blocks apart,
• Float prequired required to a pulmonary step-down unit as needed, with 1:3 patient ratios,
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00PM,
• Every other weekend required,
• ,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• A shuttle is provided between campuses,

Job Requirements

• , or compact RN license required,
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience,
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS,
• TTNCC certification preferred,
• C-EFM or specialty skills preferred include EVD management,
• Trauma Level I center experience strongly preferred,
• Skills should include IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, continuous IV sedation, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management,
• One professional reference required,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties and a pulmonary step-down unit,
• Work within a large academic medical center that operates as a Level I Trauma Center,
• Participate in required annual and pre-start training modules,
• Required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed,
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted,
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with medical or religious exemptions only,
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position,
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted,
• Returning staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler,
• Requests for RTO exceeding 7 days require additional approval
