Responsibilities

– Draw blood samples from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.

– Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures.

– Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and a calming environment.

– Maintain detailed and accurate records of specimens collected and related documentation.

– Follow all safety protocols and maintain a professional, confidential environment.

– Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and quality specimen collection.

– Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in daily activities.

– Ensure the environment remains safe and professional at all times.

Required Skills

– Excellent phlebotomy skills, with experience drawing blood from pediatric and geriatric patients.

– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

– Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.

– Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.

– Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Requirements

– High school diploma or equivalent required.

– Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).

– Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.

– Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.

– Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.

– Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

– Strong focus on confidentiality, accuracy, and process excellence.
