E-Sports Advisor

The E-sports Advisor establishes, manages, and coaches the school's competitive gaming program. This role focuses on building a positive team culture, promoting digital citizenship, and helping student-athletes balance academic eligibility with competitive play. Key Responsibilities Team Operations: Organize tryouts, run practices, and coordinate regular-season and postseason matches. Academic Monitoring: Enforce school district grade and attendance requirements for team eligibility. League Compliance: Register teams and report match scores through approved state or national high school e-sports leagues. Mentorship & Safety: Promote positive digital sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. Equipment Oversight: Supervise the e-sports lab, manage hardware, and update gaming software safely. Community Relations: Connect with athletic directors, parents, and local organizations to fundraise or promote the team. Qualifications & Skills Educational Background: High school teaching certificate or district-approved coaching certification preferred. Technical Savvy: Familiarity with high school gaming titles, streaming software, and school IT security. Leadership: Experience managing youth groups, clubs, or traditional athletic teams. Availability: Flexibility to supervise after-school practices and evening match schedules.
