Director of Finance

This executive-level position will oversee all aspects of the Finance/Accounting Department. The Director of Finance will report to the General Manager and VP of Finance. They will act as a mentor and be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the hotel and the department. Responsibilities Manage and communicate cash flow issues effectively to management and ownership. Coordinate the completion of forecasts and budgets with the active participation of the Executive Team and department managers. Analyze financial data and operations to assist management in achieving financial objectives. Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures for effective management of financial resources. Establish and audit internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, payroll, and records. Prepare all financial reports in accordance with company requirements, meeting deadlines. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on revenue, costs, and profitability. Collaborate with department heads on cost-saving initiatives that do not compromise quality or guest satisfaction. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and financial institutions. Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes.
