Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adults on the Med Surg unit with a focus on post-surgical and general medical care
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with enteral feeding and NG tubes
• Perform routine assessments, respond to clinical changes, document care and progress in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other health care professionals to develop and modify care plans
• Float to assigned units as needed; adhere to unit protocols, safety standards, and patient flow requirements
• Support discharge planning, patient/family education, and pain management as appropriate

Requirements

• Active New York RN license (Nursys verification) with current status
• AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience; travel experience required
• EPIC EMR experience
• Driver’s license with address matching demographics
• RTO (reason/ciring time off) must be included at time of submission
