Junior Attorney

Job Overview Law firm seeks a Junior Attorney in Anderson, SC. This role offers an opportunity for recent law school graduates to work alongside experienced attorneys and paralegals, gaining valuable experience in legal research, document drafting, and client interaction. The position requires some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills. Duties Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, and contracts for legal proceedings and negotiations. Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling. Maintain organized client files for accessibility by the legal team. Assist clients in resolving legal conflicts and determining the best course of action. Perform legal research and prepare for hearings or other legal proceedings. Represent clients in family court actions and contested custody matters. Conduct initial client consultations and provide sound legal advice. Advocate for clients in hearings and mediations. Maintain thorough records in the firm’s case management system. Requirements Successful completion of the bar exam. Member in good standing with the ABA. South Carolina Bar License or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire. Completion of South Carolina Rule 403 trial observation requirements or ability to complete within 6 months of hire. Education Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications South Carolina Bar License. Skills Solid communication and problem‑solving skills.
