Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC preferred Must-Have: Chemo certification preferred. Strong PCU experience. Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of nursing experience. A focus on adult oncology PCU and trauma PCU patients is essential. A strong commitment to providing compassionate patient care is required. The unit has a total of 18 beds, and you will engage in a variety of clinical responsibilities. You will occasionally titrate insulin and Cardizem drips, as well as manage common medications. Experience with respiratory equipment such as high flow devices and BiPAP is preferred. You will work collaboratively with a skilled team that includes nursing assistants, case managers, and educators. Self-scheduling is available, but shifts will be balanced according to the needs of the unit. Hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting are key components of our patient experience approach. We value nurses who approach their work with positivity and strong teamwork skills. Your ability to care for a diverse patient population with respect and empathy is essential. Cancellation policy allows for shifts to be canceled based on specific guidelines. Charting will be conducted using the Epic system. Join us in providing exceptional care to our patients!
