Mission Realty Advisors
Mission Realty Advisors (“MRA”) seeks an Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations, deepen relationships with nonprofit clients and community partners, and advance the organization’s mission of helping nonprofit organizations make informed, strategic real estate decisions. The Executive Director will serve as the primary point of coordination among clients, the Board of Directors, sponsors, professional advisors, and the broader St. Louis commercial real estate and nonprofit communities. Position Summary The Executive Director position will need to have a passion for nonprofit work, commercial real estate awareness, relationship-building skills, and strong operational discipline. This individual will work closely with the Board Chair and members of the Board of Directors to execute client needs, strengthen visibility, manage communications and deliverables, and build momentum for MRA’s continued growth and impact. Key Responsibilities Client and Mission Support Serve as a responsive and reliable point of contact for nonprofit clients, including managing communications, scheduling, follow-up, and project deliverables. Develop a strong understanding of each client’s mission, operating model, real estate needs, and capitalization in order to tailor support appropriately. Coordinate with Board members, advisors, and subject-matter experts to help clients evaluate real estate opportunities, challenges, and strategic options. Prepare and deliver presentations to interested parties, prospective clients, community partners, vendors, and other stakeholders, as appropriate. Board and Organizational Management Work closely with the Board Chair and members of the Board of Directors to advance MRA’s mission, priorities, and strategic initiatives. Plan and manage Board meetings, including preparing agendas, coordinating materials, producing minutes, and encouraging meaningful Board engagement. Manage administrative processes, including invoicing, documentation, reporting, and follow-up with clients and partners. Support fundraising and sustainability efforts, including sponsor procurement and leading grant applications. Communications, Outreach, and Public Relations Produce quarterly newsletters, including managing content, messaging, timing, and distribution. Maintain and strengthen MRA’s public presence through website updates, LinkedIn activity, industry events, and other public relations opportunities. Represent MRA at real estate and civic professional forums, including organizations such as ULI, MGA, and related industry groups. Drawing upon MRA’s commercial real estate ecosystem, organize and manage MRA’s bi-annual speaker series, including topic development, speaker coordination, promotion, and event execution. Partnerships and Community Engagement Identify opportunities to expand MRA’s reach, visibility, and client pipeline within the St. Louis nonprofit and commercial real estate communities. Network effectively with nonprofit leaders, clients, sponsors, commercial real estate professionals, civic influencers, and other community stakeholders. Continue and strengthen collaboration with the Nonprofit Synergy Alliance and other aligned organizations. Supervise and support the work of the Summer Fellow, interns, and other temporary or project-based contributors. Qualifications and Capabilities Background in commercial real estate, real estate development, community development, nonprofit consulting, or a related field. Familiarity with the St. Louis commercial real estate community and the ability to build credibility with brokers, developers, owners, lenders, attorneys, architects, contractors, and civic partners. Demonstrated ability to understand and assess nonprofit organizational needs, particularly as they relate to facilities, real estate strategy, occupancy, growth, relocation, or capital planning. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex real estate concepts for nonprofit leaders and Board members. Strong relationship-building skills and comfort working with clients and stakeholders with varying levels of sophistication and experience. Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, meetings, and deliverables. Collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively with a volunteer Board of Directors, professional advisors, community partners, and staff or interns. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a trusted connector, practical problem-solver, and mission-oriented leader who can operate comfortably across the nonprofit, civic, and commercial real estate sectors. This person will be equally comfortable managing details, building relationships, facilitating meetings, communicating with clients, and representing MRA in the community. #J-18808-Ljbffr Mission Realty Advisors
