Marketing Research Intern
Location: Troy, MI

Hour Media, publisher of Hour Detroit , DBusiness , Detroit Design , Metro Detroit Weddings , and other regional publications, is seeking a Marketing Research Intern to join our team through our sister company, Professional Research Services (PRS).
PRS partners with city and regional magazines across the country to conduct research that supports annual “Top Doctors,” “Top Dentists,” and other professional recognition programs. This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing research, data management, and client communications while contributing to nationally recognized publications.
What You’ll Do
As a Marketing Research Intern, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of the research department by:
- Tracking and organizing survey responses
- Verifying and fact-checking professional information
- Assisting with marketing and outreach campaigns
- Communicating with healthcare professionals and other clients
- Supporting research projects and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
We’re looking for detail-oriented, organized students who are interested in marketing research, communications, or data analysis.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Current enrollment in a college or university (required)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (required)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn
Internship Details
- Paid internship
- Minimum commitment of 25 hours per week, for 4 months
- Flexible scheduling available
- This is an in-office position in Troy, MI. Reliable transportation is required.
