Associate Director for HRL Content Operations The Associate Director for Housing and Residence Life (HRL) Content Operations leads and coordinates content alignment for all department media to support housing operations, including application cycles, move‑in/out, facility updates, and residential life programs. The role oversees marketing campaigns, social media, web content, creative services, video production, copywriting, and crisis communication activities. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the development and execution of HRL content strategy aligned with university priorities. Plan, coordinate, and implement marketing campaigns across print, digital, web, social media, and video platforms. Serve as the primary lead for HRL communications, including crisis and emergency messaging. Write, edit, and produce clear, concise content for internal and external audiences following AP style and branding standards. Manage multiple projects, establishing timelines and ensuring deadlines are met. Create and maintain content calendars and workflows for marketing initiatives. Coordinate design, production, and vendor relationships for promotional materials. Update and maintain web content, including pages and navigation. Lead social media strategy and execution across major platforms and emerging channels. Coordinate photography and videography, including scripting and storyboard development. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with University Communications, Student Affairs Marketing, and other campus partners. Consult and advise stakeholders on marketing strategies and communication approaches. Assess effectiveness of content strategies using metrics and feedback, implementing continuous improvements. Train and guide staff on communication tools, marketing technologies, and best practices. Minimum Education and Experience Graduation from a four‑year college or university with a major in a closely related field. Five years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or related fields; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Five years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite. Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Master’s degree in communications, marketing, higher education, or a related field. Experience in a higher education or public university setting. Demonstrated leadership of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies. Strong knowledge of branding, editorial standards (including AP style), and digital content strategy. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Experience with video production, photography coordination, and multimedia storytelling. Familiarity with project management tools and content management systems. Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess communication effectiveness. Strong interpersonal skills to consult with senior leaders and campus partners.
