In this role, you will work as part of a team to solve high-profile real-world problems for your clients relating to electrical and electronics systems. You will perform analyses relating to cutting edge electrical and electronic systems including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies. You will be responsible for Managing projects from initiation to completion; communicating project updates to other team members, clients, and administrative staff; ensuring that Exponent meets its deadlines and produces exceptional work product; and identifying business development opportunitiesDeveloping and managing client relationshipsHandling project and cost management on caseworkCritically assessing systems and device designs in safety-related risk assessmentsPerforming hands-on testing and analysis of electrical and electronics field failuresPreparing technical proposals, pursuing business developments, and supervising and managing laboratory testingCritically assessing test results, methods of analysis and testing protocols, generating new testing protocols based on new product designs, maintaining a systematic approach to data collection and storage, and report writing You will have the following skills and qualifications Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related fieldAt least 5 years of relevant work experience after completing a Ph.D., or at least 3 years of relevant experience after completing a position as a postdoctoral researcherTechnical background in electronics, electrical circuits, controls or embedded systemsExcellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teamsAbility to gather information and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and related industryAbility to generate business and manage client relationshipsAbility to support multiple group projects and market the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice and its consulting servicesApplicants are encouraged to submit a CV with publications (feel free to include publications that are in review or pending) [not restricted to 1 page].
