Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Cardiovascular / CVOR) for a travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date: 06/29/2026. Duration: approximately 13–16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,930–$3,084 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3×12-hour rotating (day/evening). Setting: hospital operating suite.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular/CVOR cases, including open-heart and other complex cardiac procedures.
- Assist with circulating duties, maintain sterile technique, anticipate needs of the surgical team, manage intraoperative equipment, and document intraoperative events.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery; ensure patient safety and effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
- May be required to float to other OR suites; when floated, function as circulating nurse (not scrub) for CVOR cases.
- Participate in preoperative and postoperative care, including wound care, positioning, and immediate post-anesthesia recovery as appropriate.
- Maintain proficiency with the facility’s Epic EMR system (recent experience within the past 2 years is required).

Requirements
- BLS certification required.
- CNOR preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience required.
- Minimum 2 years OR RN experience with recent competency in Cardio-Vascular / Open Heart OR.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Large, academic teaching hospital experience preferred.
- SCRUB HEARTS required.
- May be required to float to other OR suites; if floated, duties will be as circulating nurse (scrubbing not required).
