Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Utilities and Midstream sectors.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models.
• Conduct meetings with Retail & Consumer industry management teams.
• Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees.
• Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (institutional investors, sell‑side analysts, and media) through meetings, conference calls, press releases, and written research reports.
• Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
• Participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates and related credit groups.
• Represent Fitch in panel discussions and conferences organized by industry associations and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor junior members of the Utilities & Midstream sector.
• Assume managerial responsibilities where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree at minimum; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
• CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred.
• 5‑10 years of relevant experience, with coverage or knowledge of the Utilities and Midstream sectors preferred.
• Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus.
• Expertise in Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change.
• Ability to excel in a team‑oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of and interest in the Utilities and Midstream industries.
• Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis with strong financial statement analysis skills.
• Desire to deepen exposure to the debt capital markets.
• A strong pattern of leadership and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Compensation

• Expected base pay between $140,000 and $180,000.
• Additional compensation may include commissions, discretionary bonuses, long‑term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
