Patient Service Representative

Virtual Vocations Inc

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Patient Service Representative will manage inbound and outbound communications for multiple ambulatory practices, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and resolving medication and insurance issues. Key responsibilities Communicate with patients and staff through various advanced communication tools, addressing inquiries professionally and empathetically Utilize a computerized scheduling system to schedule and reschedule patient appointments while ensuring accurate documentation in patient records Participate in training sessions and assist in the orientation of new personnel, while identifying process improvements to enhance patient experience Required qualifications High School diploma or GED is required Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to explain complex healthcare issues with empathy Effective interpersonal skills for working in a diverse team environment Experience using multiple advanced communication tools, including phone calls and online chats
