Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Operations Supervisor role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Operations Supervisor oversees daily logistics and transportation activities, ensuring that freight moves efficiently, safely, and on schedule. Responsibilities include supervising front‑line operations staff, assigning workloads, monitoring performance, and resolving operational issues in real time. The role involves coordinating with carriers, customers, and internal teams to address service disruptions, escalate concerns, and maintain high service standards. The Operations Supervisor will analyze operational data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and support customer satisfaction. This position also ensures adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while fostering a collaborative, inclusive team environment. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, coaching, and performance management. Hands‑on experience in operations and operations management, preferably in transportation, logistics, or supply chain. Proficient analytical skills to interpret operational data, identify issues, and drive process improvements. Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with team members, carriers, and customers. Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse systems, or related logistics software is preferred. Knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements in transportation or logistics is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
