Description

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients in either an inpatient or outpatient setting and develop personalized treatment strategies
• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families regarding therapy objectives, discharge plans, and prescribed home exercises
• Maintain meticulous records of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress, adhering to facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in interdisciplinary care team discussions to facilitate coordinated and comprehensive patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification highly regarded
• Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurology, geriatrics) could be advantageous but are not mandatory

Skills

• Previous experience in a similar capacity is strongly preferred
• Competence in managing patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
