Base Pay $19.00 - $24.00 / Hour Other Compensation Tips Employee Type Part-Time Non-Exempt Description Title: Back of House Shift Lead Location: Pickled Fish Department: Back of House Reporting Relationship: Food & Beverage Director -> Back of House Manager -> BoH Shift Lead -> Line Cook Job Summary We are looking for an ambitious person to be our Back of House Shift Lead! This person would help with the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen, as well as help hold the Back of House Team to our company standards. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. A great Shift Lead will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. This is a great experience for someone who wants to continue to develop leadership skills. Duties + Responsibilities Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other tasks needed to prepare the Line for Service Follow recipes to execute food preparation from various stations on the Line: Salad, Fryer, Grill, Sautee, Pizza Oven, and Dessert Ensure all Food Safety practices are followed, as defined by the Pacific County Health Department Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by Back of House Manager, including regular cleaning of Kitchen Equipment, Coolers, and work spaces, and ensuring all opening/closing procedures are completed Be a team player with good communication skills Be patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure Work with BoH Manager and F&B Director to continue to develop the skills of the Line and help hold the team accountable to our practices and standards Permission to Play Values These values represent the essential, non-negotiable behavioral standards requ ired for every member of our team: Kindness - at the heart of our interactions is showing empathy, warmth, and thoughtfulness to make everyone feel welcomed and valued.
