This role is ideal for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Creo, ANSYS/FEA, GD&T, structures, and full vehicle integration. The ideal candidate brings strong CAD design, analytical problem-solving, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills in an automotive, aerospace, or advanced vehicle environment.This opportunity offers exposure to system-level design, packaging, test development, manufacturing support, and customer issue resolution, making it highly attractive to engineers who enjoy working across the full product lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop vehicle systems, structural components, and mechanical assembliesCreate 3D parametric CAD models and component packaging layouts using CreoPerform linear static FEA using ANSYS to optimize design performance and structural integrityGenerate technical drawings, detailing packages, and GD&T documentation per ASME Y14.5Develop and execute DVP&R test plans, validation methods, and reportingSupport system physics modeling, characterization, and design verificationPrepare technical specifications, engineering reports, and project status updatesSupport prototype builds, technicians, and shop teams during development activitiesResolve engineering issues through mechanical analysis, CAE, and structured problem-solvingRespond to ECRs, manufacturing questions, and product improvement requestsCollaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, validation, program management, and customer teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field3+ years of engineering design experienceStrong background in vehicle systems or product designExperience with full vehicle architecture and system interactionProficiency in Creo CADExperience with ANSYS or equivalent FEA toolsHands-on knowledge of Windchill PLMStrong skills in GD&T / ASME Y14.5, drawing release and detailing, sheet metal design, structural component design, design for manufacturabilityStrong technical writing and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
