Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy, University of Florida, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant/associate/full professor level. Applicants should have a strong record of an independent research program in the general area of pharmaceutics, including, but not limited to, drug delivery, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (pharmacometrics) or drug metabolism. The demonstration of or potential for developing an externally funded research program is essential. Faculty hires will also participate in the professional and graduate instructional efforts of the College. Areas of specialization within pharmaceutics should complement the interests of the department and the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology. The position will be located at the Gainesville or Orlando Campus of the University of Florida.

Required Qualifications: PhD and at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in pharmaceutics and/or PharmD with fellowship or with equivalent at least 2 years of experience. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. FDLE Criminal Background Check is required. Applicants will have a strong research and publication record in the field of interest.

Preferred: The successful applicant will hold a PhD Degree and/or postdoctoral and/or academic experience in pharmaceutics. Extramurally-funded research program and proven track record of publication will be considered important attributes of successful candidates. Soft skills as well as clear written and verbal communication are essential to team-based research and communication between trainees, faculty, and external collaborators. An understanding of patient care will further be helpful for training and mentoring PharmD students, PhD students, and post-doctoral research associates.
