America's roads and work zone professionals need and deserve AWP Safety protection.Job DescriptionAs the Customer Relations Collections Specialist, this role is responsible for delivering excellence in service and contributing to the mission of protecting businesses, people and time. This role will focus on accurate and timely invoicing to our customers. The Customer Relations Collections Specialist is responsible for collaboration across all levels to achieve departmental and organizational goals with a focus on ensuring all payments are received within the defined terms. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform collections aligned to dunning timelinesExecute outreach via email, calls, and portalsMaintain accurate updates using standardized statusesResolve customer inquiries and discrepancies timely. Document outcomes and next steps consistently.Collaborate with the Field, Billing Team, Sales, and Accounts Receivable Team to ensure payments for assigned customers are received within terms and applied properlyEscalate complex issues to supervisors using standardized templatesEstablish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customersCommunicate with internal and/or external customersParticipate in governance calls and daily huddles as requiredAct as a resource for other functions within AWPProvide training and support as requestedPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required3-5 years AR/Billing experience preferredPay application, lien waiver, and contract management experience preferredStrong customer service skillsBasic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationProblem-solving skillsCritical thinking skillsDemonstrate high degree of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsOutgoing & assertive personality – not afraid to approach individualsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word)Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred West – Prelude, American ContractorNorth & South – Salesforce, Great PlainsMountain – Microsoft Dynamics 35Central – TCR, SageAdditional InformationComprehensive benefits package including three medical plan options and two dental plan options, along with additional benefits such as Legal and Identity Shield, Accident, and Critical Illness coverage.Eligibility for benefits starts on the 1st of the month following your hire date.Company-paid life insurance coverage.Company-paid long-term disability (LTD) insurance.Availability of Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).Participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company match.Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
