Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:


The Registered Nurse (RN) in the OBGYN Clinic provides specialized nursing care focused on maternity and gynecological patients. This role involves triaging patients via phone, responding to inquiries through EPIC and voicemail, and managing obstetric emergencies. The RN collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality care in a clinic setting. A minimum of one year RN experience is preferred, with labor and delivery experience accepted as equivalent. The position requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.

Responsibilities:

• Triage patients over the phone to assess urgency and direct care appropriately.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries via EPIC and voicemail systems.
• Provide comprehensive maternity and gynecological nursing care in the clinic.
• Manage and respond to obstetric emergencies including placenta previa, ectopic pregnancy, gestational hypertension, and preeclampsia.
• Perform additional clinic duties as assigned to support patient care and clinic operations.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Compact RN license (license must be obtained within two weeks of start).
• Minimum of one year RN experience preferred; labor and delivery experience accepted as substitute.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric emergencies and appropriate clinical interventions.
• Excellent communication and patient triage skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in an OBGYN clinic or similar ambulatory care setting.
• Previous exposure to labor and delivery nursing care.
• Familiarity with maternity and gynecological care protocols.

Special Considerations:

• No weekends or on-call responsibilities required.
• Must disclose return-to-office (RTO) preferences at submission.
• Emergency knowledge in obstetrics is critical for patient safety.
• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted.

Scheduling:

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week on a standard clinic schedule.
• 13-week contract assignment with ASAP start.
• Interview times available and must be coordinated during submission.
