MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc
Revolutionize Communication in the Stunning Southwest – Become Our Next Speech Language Therapist
Imagine a career where you get to give voice to those who struggle to communicate. As a Speech Language Therapist in the dynamic community of Gilbert, Arizona, your contributions go beyond just treating speech and swallowing disorders; you will unlock new paths for connection, self-confidence, and personal growth, helping children with their first words and guiding seniors to rediscover their voice.
This position provides an exceptional chance to engage with a diverse population across various age groups while working primarily in an outpatient setting with the occasional inpatient involvement. Whether it's focusing on child language acquisition, helping adults with neurogenic communication challenges, or providing support to the elderly for cognitive-linguistic skills, your passion will find a home here.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing evidence-based assessment methods and clinical observations.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that align with both immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Deliver targeted, one-on-one therapy sessions emphasizing communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Provide educational resources for patients and families to enhance progress during and beyond clinical sessions.
Participate in select inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring an uninterrupted patient care journey.
Document patient progress accurately and promptly in accordance with state regulations and organizational standards.
Stay abreast of the latest industry developments through ongoing training and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required unless ASHA-certified.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based interventions for individuals of all ages, alongside a solid understanding of communication and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to cater to a wide spectrum of cultural and linguistic needs.
Strong analytical abilities and clinical reasoning.
Familiarity with electronic health records and compliance with documentation protocols.
Competitive salary based on experience.
Flexible work schedules to promote a healthy work-life balance.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) policies and holiday pay.
Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative work environment that prioritizes quality patient care and the pursuit of learning.
In this role, you will not just be providing speech therapy; you will be a crucial part of a community mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication abilities, and creating memorable moments through basic yet profound interactions: the essence of truly being understood.
Working closely with a supportive team that fosters a family-like atmosphere, you will thrive in a culture that values collaboration over rivalry. Every patient presents a unique narrative; your role will be to help craft and contribute to that beautiful story.
