Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Technician with a strong background in chemistry and materials science. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory setting and be capable of handling technical support responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Answer emails and handle customer inquiries with professionalism.
• Conduct technical calls to provide support and resolve issues.
• Develop formulas for batch master and manage batch programming.
• Participate in production and build kits as required.
• Engage in research and development work, keeping accurate records of experiments.
• Receive and manage materials and orders when necessary.
• Test raw materials from various suppliers to ensure they meet company specifications.
• Conduct root cause analysis using chemistry methods if raw materials do not meet specifications.
• Monitor the production process and ensure that final products meet customer specifications.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Sciences, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in a laboratory environment.
• Basic understanding of chemistry fundamentals such as pH meters, titration, and viscosity.
• Experience in customer interaction and technical support.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry is required, with a preference for a bachelor's degree.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Strong math skills and basic chemistry knowledge including pH, titration, and formulation.
• Experience in an industrial or chemical company is highly desirable.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
