GRADE ASTD7 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH Charles County Health Department 4545 Crain Highway White Plains, MD 20695 Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this full-time position will be to assist in the health care of clients in clinical services, including reproductive health, STI, PrEP, HIV testing, and Adult/Child Immunization services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: None. Note: Applicants may substitute experience assisting in the health care of clients in a health setting on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current certificate as a Nursing Assistant from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215. Persons appointed to a position in this classification without certification as a Nursing Assistant must successfully complete a Board of Nursing approved nursing assistant training program and receive certification as a Nursing Assistant within sixty days from date of hire prior to performing delegated nursing tasks. Appointees who fail to successfully complete this requirement will not be retained in these positions. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete training and maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete training and maintain current certification in basic first aid.
