The General Practice Dental Officer (Staff) serves as a practicing Dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measures. Position duties (but not limited to):Serves as a practicing dentist who performs a full range of professional dental procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measuresProficient in all aspects of general dentistry including the ability to perform selected specialty servicesMakes oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavityDiagnoses pathological or irregular oral conditionsAdministers local anesthesiaPerforms routine and complex restoration of teethPerforms simple and complex extractions of teethPerforms alveoloplasty and other routine surgical proceduresPerforms prosthetic dentistry to include immediate dentures, full dentures, partial dentures, crowns and fixed bridge workPerforms routine endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teethPerforms routine and surgical periodontal proceduresWork Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0800-1630 PST.Compressed/Flexible: Available.Telework: Not available.Virtual: This is not a virtual position.EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.
