A Community ED With a Manageable Pace

This is a traditional community Emergency Medicine environment where physicians evaluate, stabilize, treat and disposition the full range of patients presenting to the ED.

At approximately 1.2 patients per hour , the clinical proposition is markedly different from a high-volume metropolitan department. Physicians still need to be comfortable independently managing emergency presentations and determining appropriate admission, discharge or transfer, but within a smaller community-hospital setting.

Who Can Qualify?

The facility offers a broader pathway than an ABEM-only opportunity and will consider physicians trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with appropriate Emergency Medicine experience.

Accepted board certifications include:

• ABEM / AOBEM
• ABFM
• ABIM / AOBIM
• Board-eligible physicians within 5 years of eligibility may also be considered
• 1–3 years of Emergency Medicine experience

Life Support Requirements

• AHA ACLS required for all physicians
• Physicians who are not board certified in Emergency Medicine must also maintain AHA PALS and ATLS
