JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for one part-time teaching assistant to start in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will assist Dr. Qian Chen for 10 hours per week during the academic semester.

Job Duties:

• Grade Assignments + Exams: Evaluate homework, quizzes, exams, or projects in a timely and fair manner, following the instructor’s grading guidelines. Provide constructive feedback to support student learning.
• Provide Student Support: Hold weekly office hours/make-up exams to assist students, clarify course content, and support their academic progress.
• Respond to Student Inquiries: Answer student questions via email/Zoom in a timely and professional manner with the intent to reinforce student understanding.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of MIS 441 and/or BA 841 at Penn State

Compensation:

Starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
