Dishwasher/Steward Department: Culinary Employment Type: Full Time Location: Mountain View, California Compensation: $23.50 / hour Description As Dishwasher/Steward, you'll keep the kitchen clean, sanitized, and running safely — the behind-the-scenes work that makes every service possible. Key Responsibilities Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes, washing by hand or loading racks/conveyor to the dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation Washes pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures Polishes silver using burnishing machines, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth as assigned Maintains temperatures and chemical levels per provided standards Keeps the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to maintain safety and sanitation compliance Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces Removes trash to designated containers, and steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, assisting with loading and unloading deliveries Assists in breaking down delivery boxes Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active kitchen environment Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards Reliable and able to work as part of a team Prior kitchen or dishwashing experience helpful but not required Benefits Eligible associates are offered a comprehensive benefits package that may include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability insurance Term life insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) including Sick Hours 401(k) retirement plan, effective from date of hire Hotel and F&B outlet discounts Wellness incentives through Class Pass Referral bonus program #J-18808-Ljbffr Theameswellhotel
